Chapel Hill is on the Map!

Not quite as cool as I thought

I have to admit I thought this North Carolina map postcard was unique before I realized that a common postcard creator sales technique is to find pieces of modern day maps and then load them into a template and attach the name of a town. This can be done for any town, anywhere, I guess, although I am not sure where the maps with no street names come from. Anyone who has lived for a time in the Southern Part of Heaven will instantly recognize Franklin Street and The Reverend Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard, Formerly Known as Airport Road. (Is that still the official name of that road, I wonder). Still, if you are a collector of this particular type of small town postcard, you may want this one of Chapel Hill. I am not entirely satisfied, so I will keep searching Zazzle for a nice Chapel Hill postcard and see if anything turns up that I can share with you.

UNC area Map postcard misses important points

I guess I can kinda see the James Taylor Bridge on this map. Carrboro certainly gets short shrift, however this postcard is not about Carrboro. But where I ask you, is Southern Village?
