Western Maryland Vintage Postcard

Baltimore Street  Postcard

Cumberland Maryland 1940s

We're looking up the street towards Washington Street where we can see one of the many Queen City spires atop the beautiful Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Note the People's Drug store, Ford's Drugs and a massive neon sign on the Algonquin Hotel of another era. Also seen, the Public Service Department Store, Curtis's Luncheonette, and Julian Goldman Store. Across from the Fort Cumberland Hotel I can't quite make out what's playing at the movie theatre, but I can see the name Bickford. If you can tell what movie that is, let me know in the comments!

Postcard Printing Tip

I've already checked and the back of this card is blank. It's easy to add text info to the back of the card if you click the Edit Design Tool and then navigate to the area called Back:Text and Images. Just add your text in any desired font, any desired size and you are good to go.

Send this black and white Small Town Postcard to penpals around the world.

If you are from Western Maryland or nearby Ridgeley, West Virginia, or you just like black and white photography vintage postcards,  this card will be just the thing for your postcrossing hobby.
